Good nutrition is vital to children’s physical and mental development. Our child care menus have been carefully designed to promote good eating habits that will last a lifetime. All meals follow Canada’s Food Guide and are monitored by our Child Care Consultant. A variety of fresh fruit and veggies are offered, home cooked meals, whole grain breads options and fresh milk is provided. We do support various allergy and ethnic choices for your child so please do not hesitate to talk to us about your child’s dietary needs.
All biweekly menus are posted for you to see and pictures of the meals are posted at the children’s eye level for them.
We are a “peanut free” environment and ask that parents do not bring in snacks that contain peanuts. Treats are welcome for special occasions but Peter Pan strives to offer the most nutritional choice for such occasions.
At least one meal per week is offered as a meatless dish. Some examples are: Scrambled eggs with spinach, Baked beans or 3 Bean chilli.
